The questions we get every week.

What does it cost to be living in it?
The home is $99,900 to $199,900 inc GST. Standing on your block, connected and approved, $148,900 to $341,900 by model and by site. The Backyard, Done puts the home, the deck and the site work in one number, from $166,800. Your land sets the exact figure, and the free site check turns it into a fixed Binding Estimate inside 7 days. See what is in it.
Is this a granny flat?
That is what most people call it. Council calls it a secondary dwelling. Either way it is Class 1a, the same classification as the house in front of it. Prices by state and council.
Do I need council approval?
Yes. A module on footings is a building, and buildings get approved. We manage it end to end with our certifier. Anyone telling you wheels get you out of approval is selling you a problem.
How long does it take?
12–16 weeks in the factory, with the approval running alongside rather than after. Site day is usually one day.
Can you deliver outside South East Queensland?
We deliver Australia-wide. Full install is SEQ. Past that we deliver the finished module and you use your own builder and installer.
What if a truck cannot get in?
Access is the one thing that stops this outright, so we check it first and we check it free. Better to hear no on day one than on crane day.
